What is happening?
At 7:45pm on 11 March 2026, we, Mr Bradley Vincent Hellen and Mr Cameron John Woodcroft, of Pilot Partners, were appointed Joint & Several Liquidators of AEIOU Foundation (“AEIOU” or “the Company”).
We are writing to introduce ourselves, explain how our appointment impacts you, and provide you with information that may assist you. It is important to read this Circular as it provides important information we wish to make you aware of.
Is AEIOU still operating? Can I still access care and/or therapy services from AEIOU?
We understand this is a difficult and stressful situation.
Following our initial assessment, it is clear AEIOU Foundation does not have the financial capacity to continue trading. Consequently, all centres have been closed with immediate effect.
Please do not visit the centres as they will be closed. All bookings, appointments and enrolments from 12 March 2026 onwards are cancelled.
You should seek alternate care and/or therapy for your child/children.
Why has AEIOU entered Liquidation?
The directors of AEIOU have advised:
“This step has been taken following a sustained period of financial pressure across the disability services sector. Like many providers, AEIOU has experienced increasing costs, workforce challenges and significant changes in the funding environment that supports disability services.
Over recent years, the Board and leadership team have implemented a range of measures to strengthen the organisation’s sustainability. These actions included operational restructuring, cost management initiatives and efforts to adapt the organisation to a changing operating environment.
Despite these efforts, the Board has determined that entering Administration is the most responsible course of action to allow an independent review of the organisation’s financial position and to consider the possible pathways forward.”
Who should I contact if I have questions?
We understand this news may come as a shock to you, and it may raise several questions.
We understand participants will be contacted by the NDIA. Participants can contact their early childhood partner, local area coordination partner or support coordinator, or phone the NDIS on 1800 800 110 Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm AEST. Please refer to Contact | NDIS for more information. If you are unsure who your early childhood partner, local area coordination partner or support coordinator is, we can provide contact details by region.
